JOB DETAILS:
Proprietary Trading Firm seeks a Manager of Presentation Services. This is a challenging role for a seasoned manager experienced in leading a Front End Development Team. We are looking for a strong leader who has excellent and proven project management and team leadership skills combined with proven delivery of complex projects.



• To lead and mature Presentation Services technology team. Manage all Front End development efforts in the US.



• Guide the program of creating our new Trading applications with the latest technology solutions making use of .NET and WPF.



• Understand the landscape of DMA trading applications and bring experience of building top tier real time trading platforms to the firm.



• Size and staff the team with requisite skills and experience to address the needs and pursue the opportunities.



• Maintain a productive relationship amongst the multi-continent Presentation Services team ensuring development methodologies and architecture are delivered according to a coordinated and cooperative plan.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires:



• 5+ years of experience in the financial industry, 8+ overall, with a demonstrated progression into a current management position with significant responsibility within a financial firm.

• A history of accomplishment in delivering tactical and strategic solutions to solve business problems, on-time and within budget, including a proven track record with high performing trading system front ends.

• Knowledge of Equities Trading, real-time systems, Windows based development

• Ability to work with local and global peers and management in order to support overall firm direction, strategies goals. Experienced in building collaborative relationships.

• Proven ability to recruit, develop and manage staff. This entails sourcing, selecting and selling A players to join the firm.

• Strategic thinker, visionary. Able to see and communicate big picture in an inspiring way. Experienced in determining opportunities and threats through analysis of current and future technologies.

• Strong initiative and aggressive in pursuing goals - drive to succeed in a highly challenging and demanding environment

• Self motivator with the ability to also motivate others

• Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills

• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet project and departmental targets

• Prepared to get involved in all aspects of a project and team management to ensure success



Prefers:



• Someone who has grown up through the development ranks solving the problems inherent in trading systems and having made the jump into team leadership and management

• Experience using C#, .Net, WPF Java and/or C++.

• Understanding of multithreading, design patterns.

• Experience with software development lifecycle program flow and release processes
